Breakout groups to discuss certain topics and not forgetting sharing of personal experiences by fellow members to offer emotional support and practical advice.

Religious Classes (Pengajian Islam)

This program aims to provide Islamic learning to our HUFI ladies covering the areas of Fiqh, Tauhid, Sirah, Akhlak, Al-Quran, Daily Duas, significant Islamic dates and many more. Physical religious classes are also conducted periodically. Improve your relationship with Allah swt, heal your soul and find inner peace.

HUFI Netball

Netball can significantly benefit mental health by promoting exercise, social connections, and fostering resilience and confidence. It can also help manage stress, improve mood, reduce the risk of anxiety, depression as well as relapse. We are setting a netball team in HUFI and are actively looking for players to represent us in netball matches and friendlies. Our training is twice a month on weekday nights. Check out the upcoming activities page for latest netball schedules.

Courses & Skills

Life skills training helps individuals develop practical abilities necessary for daily living and long-term sobriety. Upskilling, provides individuals with new skills and knowledge to adapt to changing job markets and economic conditions, supporting individual career paths and overall growth. In HUFI we also offer taking up new skills such as sewing, baking, etc. These are opportunities for self improvement and expanded career options.

Peer-to-Peer Mentoring

1-hour catch-up sessions with our fellow ladies in recovery. During these sessions, peer mentors will check in on their daily lives, be a listening ear when they share their struggles and achievements, and strengthen our bond with one another. These sessions will be held once every two months at an informal setting, but a conducive and safe environment. Peer mentoring can help mentees gain confidence, navigate challenges, while also offering mentors a chance to strengthen their own leadership and communication skills.

Community Works & Volunteering

Volunteering is a powerful form of redemption for individuals in recovery, offering a pathway to healing, self-discovery, and a renewed sense of purpose. It allows individuals to rebuild self-esteem, connect with the community, and find meaning in their lives beyond addiction. Volunteering can also help make amends for past actions and provide a way to give back. In HUFI, we give our members a chance to participate in volunteer works at least once a month through our partnerships with various mosques, and even our own charity / fundraising programs.

Sports & Recreational Activities

Engaging in activities like team sports, individual sports, outdoor activities, or mind-body practices can help individuals in recovery stay active, build social connections, and manage cravings. HUFI is one of the most active women support group in Singapore with lots of recreational, sports & outdoor activities lined up for our members! Join us in Muay Thai, F45 trainings, cycling, trekking, mountain climbing and many family oriented activities such as island hopping, themed parties, BBQs and more!

Community Engagements

HUFI’s advocacy supporting causes related to substance addiction or mental health to help individuals feel empowered and make a difference in the community. We encourage our members to engage in the recovery community such as desistors sharing in prisons to promote on the aftercare programs that HUFI offers.
