Volunteers & Persons in Recovery
HUFI consists of Muslim female desistors / persons in recovery / ex-offenders as well as Muslim female volunteers (non-offenders). We are a dynamic group of Muslim women from all walks of life and who have encountered various paths of challenges and successes in life.
In supporting the reintegration of ex-offenders, having a dynamic support group helps strengthen communities and build safer, more inclusive societies. We emphasize the importance of confidentiality within the group to create a safe space for feelings, respecting boundaries while fostering a culture of trust, encouraging open communication and mutual support among group members in their phases of recovery and healing.
Be a HUFI member today as a person in recovery or a volunteer. Email your interest to: hufibersatu@gmail.com.
- Gives you a chance to be with people who are likely to have a common purpose.
- Be among women who are likely to understand each other and what each person has gone through.
- Enjoy our sisterhood, feel less lonely, alone or judged.
Recovery is a challenging process, and having a network of people who understand what you’re going through can make a significant difference in maintaining long-term sobriety. Through shared goals and peer encouragement, HUFI helps individuals stay on track with their recovery journey.
